Step 8: Invite to a (Free) Meeting
Offer them a free named connection meeting of max. 30 min to learn more about each other.
Nowadays, most clients are suspicious that a call will be a sales call.
They may have had bad experiences with other coaches or sales people.
At the beginning of your coaching career, suggesting a connection call may be best.
Over time, you can make this a short call or even just use the voice or video calling feature of the system (Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn etc.) just to say hi and see if you like each other or there is any common interest.
When you review their public profile, you may have noticed common interests or anything that may be a good conversation starter or a connection thread to build rapport.
Do not ask for the sale in this first call or meeting (But you can offer your services if the client asks you).
But if not even one person takes up your session, go back to the previous steps and modify your market, message or avatar.
If one or more people take up the session, keep going and see if they reach step 10…
